Even Kings Cross Workers Hate The EDL!

The English Defence League (EDL) protest at Walthamstow, London, is set to take place later today. The local community is expected to outnumber them in opposition and the EDL are NOT wanted.

But according to the Independent, even staff at King’s Cross have vowed to walk out in protest due to EDL supporters using the station as a rallying point for a demonstration in the north of the capital.

They have a reason to do so. Staff members have complained that they faced abuse at the hands of the EDL as they headed to a similar protest last year.

EDL Supporter Arrested For Praising Breivik

We reported about a dad-of-three Philip Horn in a previous article (here) who supported the English Defence League (EDL) and British National Party (BNP), and sympathised with the Norway bomber, Anders Breivik, saying he ‘takes his hat off'’ to him as well as other statements made on Facebook.

It is confirmed that he has now been jailed.

We, at EDLReview have documented four similar cases from EDL supporters/Divisions. We would therefore, like the police to investigate on these people too. Cases are given hereherehere and here.

EDL Supporter Wants Another Anders Breivik

We’ve seen and reported about some English Defence League (EDL) members and Divisions sympathising with the Norway mass murderer Anders Breivik (i.e. hereherehere and here) who killed more than 70 people.

But again, we’ve caught another EDL supporter posting on the EDL’s Merseyside Division who says he agrees with Breivik’s terrorist actions and wants an ‘English version’ of him!

Sick.

EDL Supporters Targeted Asian Shopkeepers

The HucknallDispatch reported that two men targeted members of an Asian family who ran a newsagent’s shop in Bulwell. They used a ‘torrent’ of racial abuse, with one also wielding a knife.

One of the members pulled a knife as he delivered an ‘onslaught of foul remarks’. He asked one of the family: “What religion are you?”. When a woman asked him why that mattered, he replied: “Because I’m EDL”, indicating that he was a member of the English Defence League (EDL).

Both men admitted racially aggravated harassment and using threatening words and behaviour. One also admitted he had possessed the knife. Reportedly, alcohol was an influence for their behaviour.

EDL Division Lowers Our IQ

We think our IQ was lowered trying to read this post by the English Defence League (EDL)’s Windsor & Maidenhead Division…

What's a Halah meat? The letters H and L are not that close on the keyboard so we doubt this was even a typo.

EDL Brighton Infidels Like Obama Hung

We’ve seen various English Defence League (EDL) Divisions advocating or calling for the death of certain individuals (here, here, and here). But here’s another very disturbing (perhaps extremist) post from the EDL’s Brighton Infidel Division, showing Obama being hung.

We may not support Obama, but this is sick.

EDL Wiltshire Division Insults Itself

We don’t know when the English Defence League (EDL) Comedy Division will get set up, but here’s a unprofessional yet stupid status from the Wiltshire Division.

Does this mean the admin(s) drink because they are ugly and boring?

Kev Banned Me For Asking Questions!

[Guest post]

Kevin Carroll is a key figure in the English Defence League (EDL) and British Freedom Party (BFP). He is running to land himself a Police Commissioner role in Bedfordshire.

So, on one status himself (and his fellow admins) posted up a status helping ‘supporting, discussing and publicising Kevin Carroll's campaign for election as Police Commissioner for Bedfordshire.’ It also said,
Quote: ‘If you want to make constructive criticisms, then fine, we'll listen. But take your whiny, studenty, anti-Semitic, jihad-excusing, Marxist rants elsewhere or we'll ban you tout de suite.’
I decided to highlight two points on the status:
  1. I don’t support the far-right, so does this make me a ‘Jihad-excuser’?
  2. What would you [Carroll] do to all the British white child groomers that have been caught? (like here)
What happened? I was secretly banned from the Page! My responses were not hateful, bad, or rude. So much for listening to what people have to say…

Breivik Emailed National Front’s Mayor Candidate

The Liverpool Echo reported that a Liverpool mayoral candidate Peter Tierney was on the distribution list for the manifesto of Norway mass murderer Anders Breivik.

They revealed that the email address of Tierney, who is standing for the far-right group National Front (NF), was included on Breivik’s list. But he refused to discuss why his address was on it.

The rhetoric these far-right groups have, appears to be quite similar. As we know, the Swedish Defence League (SDL) and the NF for example, have supported Nazi ideologies (here, here and here).

EDL ‘Founding Father’ May Have Inspired Breivik

Paul Ray, supposedly one of the ‘founding fathers’ of the English Defence League (EDL) who uses the nickname ‘Lionheart of England’, has denounced the actions of the Norway bomber, Anders Breivik, but has admitted his anti-Muslim views could have influenced the killer.

He told the Times,
Quote: ‘I am being implicated as his (Breivik’s) mentor. I definitely could have been his inspiration. It looks like that.’
In his manifesto, Breivik describes attending a meeting of the extremist group Knights Templar in London in 2002, where he was given an ‘assigned mentor’ nicknamed ‘Richard (the Lionhearted)’.

EDL-Supporting Racist Threatened Bomb Attack

Back in April 2012, the Journal Live (and others) reported that a man named Kenny Holden from South Shields was arrested over allegations he accessed a social network site to threaten doing an “Oslo-style” bomb attack on innocent people (like the Norway bomber, Anders Breivik).

He had links to various English Defence League (EDL) Facebook pages and it is reported he also posted race-hate posts on there too.

Proof Anders Breivik Wrote On EDL Forum?

Various news agencies have reported that the Norway bomber, Anders Breivik, had English Defence League (EDL) links. They claim he regarded the EDL as a “blessing” on a public forum. Is it true? Here’s a snapshot that may prove he did.

From the live trial of Breivik, a witness attending the trial tweeted that Breivik smiled when the prosecutor asked if he called himself “Sigurd crusader” at a meeting in London. Strange...

EDL’s Roberta Moore Supports Breivik

Robert Moore has been a key figure at the English Defence League (EDL) but last summer she fell out with some of them. Nevertheless, here’s a comment she wrote about the 70+ victims of the Norway bomber, claiming they were not innocent.

She remains close to several of the leading figures and others like Alan Ayling. As seen in a video below, she walks alongside the EDL leader, Tommy Robinson.

Swedish Defence League Supports Nazism

We’ve documented the English Defence League (EDL) cousins, the Swedish Defence League (SDL), and their support for Nazism (here).

But here is further proof showing their support for extreme Nazi ideologies.

‘14’ is often seen with ‘88’, and is widely regarded to stand for “Heil Hitler”.

The admin posting this status was referring to the floppy ‘Counter-Jihad Initiative’ (a hate event in disguise) in which many Defence Leagues attended. Key players working in the Islamophobia network were also there.

Welsh Defence League Supporters Beat Daughter

This news story has been reported by various news agencies. It involved two parents violently attacking their daughter and her new boyfriend simply because he was of black ethnicity.

David Champion hurled racist abuse at her boyfriend before grabbing and kicking him as he threw him out of the house. He then pulled his daughter’s hair and hit her as he pushed her out of the door. His wife told her daughter, “You deserve it, it is all your fault.”

After a month, he once again attacked her by punching her in the face, grabbing her by her throat and hitting her. Both parents have been jailed.

The man of the house attended a Welsh Defence League (WDL) protest back in 2009. Pictures are available here.

Here Come The EDL Conspiracies! Part 4

Many English Defence League (EDL) supporters have been known to act rather loony. But here’s another one to add to our collection. One supporter from the EDL’s Weymouth Division thinks Muslims drink alcohol but don’t tell anyone.

GOD HAVE MERCY ON US ALL

So when will the EDL Comedy Division get set up?

Casuals United Try Shifting The Blame And Fail

The Huddersfield Examiner, Hope Not Hate, and we, reported about a case of vandalism by fascists who wrote racist graffiti on a house. The word ‘EDL’ was written as well as a Nazi swastika symbol. But the Casuals United blog have tried shifting the blame to United Against Fascism (UAF) members and ‘Jihadists’.

They claim a Nazi would never spray the words ‘EDL’. But the English Defence League (EDL) has been known to house many racists, Nazis and neo-Nazis in its ranks (proof) and they have had no problem supporting both Nazism and the EDL. So this excuse lacks sense.

We know, the Casuals are trying to avoid the blame and they did it badly. Coincidentally, the EDL’s Manchester Division did the same thing a while ago.

Walthamstow Does NOT Want The EDL

The majority of Walthamstow does not want the English Defence League (EDL) on its streets causing havoc, chanting, and doing nothing good for the British community (a norm) on the 1st of September. There have already been some EDL supporters being caught brandishing weapons prior to the protest (here, and here).

Of course, the EDL will not listen to its people (failing to integrate?)

Our prediction is that the EDL will be outnumbered.

Dangerous EDL Supporter Set For Walthamstow

Previously, we reported about a English Defence League (EDL) supporter who is so ‘prepared’ for the EDL demo in Walthamstow... he posted up a picture of himself holding a gun on Facebook.

But he’s not the only credible threat of violence. Hope Not Hate have reported and provided pictures of a man who is seen holding up and showcasing butcher knives and a hammer.

His Facebook shows that he will be attending the upcoming Walthamstow protest. More pictures are provided in the ‘Further reading’ section below.

Gun-Wielding EDL Supporter Set For Walthamstow

We know the English Defence League (EDL) isn’t supposed to be violent and all, but this EDL supporter has certainly got carried away. Posing himself with a real gun, he wrote that he is ‘prepared’ for the upcoming EDL demo in Walthamstow.

More pictures can be seen in the ‘Further reading’ section below. And this is not the first time we have seen EDL supporters with guns (and swords).

EDL Bolton Division Organiser Quits

A key leader in the English Defence League (EDL)’s Bolton Division has resigned.

A friend of the ex-member agreed with his comment, saying,
Quote: ‘EDL has gone backwards ever since Tommy [the EDL leader] lost sense of what EDL was really about. The old EDL was brilliant but all the soul has gone due to incompetence and leading EDL Angels playing divide and rule.90% maybe even more of the original EDL have now left.’
The friend also criticised the EDL affiliate, the British Freedom Party (BFP), saying that a way to make things better would be to ‘kicking the British Freedom Party frauds into touch.’

We thank the man for leaving.

British Freedom Party Organiser Likes Fights

Hope Not Hate published an article exposing one of the British Freedom Party (BFP)’s organisers, Mark Dunbar. It showed the organiser sympathising with using violence against people of another party. He doesn’t care if he gets arrested...

Surely not the best of characters for the BFP’s image…

Coincidentally, a report published by the thinktank Chatham House also highlighted the high numbers of far-right supporters who sympathise with using violence and “armed conflict”.

Christian Defence League: Promoting Religious Intolerance

There is nothing really ‘Christian’ about the Christian Defence League (CDL). It’s merely another Division made off the English Defence League (EDL) that is trying to gain support from the religious to target Islam and Muslims (the Jewish Division does this too).

It says on its Facebook Page, ‘Please refrain from criticizing other Christian denominations here or our Jewish friends’, and likewise, we can see both parties trying to work together to target the faith group.

What is easily noticeable, is the obsession the group has with extremists. They basically share stories of extremists… and that’s it. The CDL are trying to promote the loony ideology that Islam is a ‘threat’ by trying to define what Islam is. Even worse, the group targets Islam publicly.

We know statements like these creates many problems, and it also contradicts the EDL’s Mission Statement saying it promotes the ‘understanding of Islam’. Likewise, there is nothing ‘Christian’ about the CDL, and it is merely a group that promotes Islamophobia, intolerance and bad IQ.

Surprisingly, this Division also shares information from Pamela Geller, a co-founder of the hate-group Stop Islamization Of America (SIOA) and a person very rooted within the Islamophobia network.

Her work and group influenced the Norway bomber, Anders Breivik (a self-proclaimed Christian), and she also received an extremist email from a person who said they were ‘caching and stockpiling weapons’ shortly before Breivik committed mass murder. Click here to read about it.

More EDL Racist Vandalism Part 2

The Huddersfield Examiner and Hope Not Hate reported that a family has had racist graffiti sprayed on to the home it has moved into. The house was pelted with eggs, had a Nazi swastika and the acronym for the English Defence League (EDL) spray painted on to the doors and walls.

There was also an obscene drawing and other offensive words, which the Examiner could not print. The residents have contacted the police and hope someone will bring themselves in.

EDL Irrationality: Defining Islam For Us?

Can we trust the English Defence League (EDL) to show us what Islam is?

We are told in the EDL’s Mission Statement that the EDL ‘promotes the understanding of Islam’. But upon analysis of the EDL’s rhetoric and ideology, we know this is a blatant lie.

Why? The EDL shows to hate Islam to the very core and there is significant evidence to show us the EDL only pick-and-chooses what it has to say. It rarely has anything good to say. Likewise, this status posted by the EDL’s Leicester Division reflects what is being said here.

Clearly, the EDL is trying to hijack the faith and propagate what it believes to be true (even when its key players lack credentials and scholarship). EDL supporters are then spoonfed to think that Islam itself is a ‘evil’ ideology, and a ‘threat’ to Western civilization.

It has many downsides. For example, it makes it extremely difficult for people to distinguish ‘normal’ people from ‘extremists’. More seriously, it can lead people to becoming intolerant and aggressive. Countless EDL supporters have been arrested for chanting religious abuse, using threatening behaviour, and even harassing Muslim women.

The EDL has an Islamophobic agenda. It’s discriminative, bias and not helpful in tackling the problems we have in Britain. Rather, this ideology is feeding hate and making things worse for our country.

Can we trust the EDL to show us what Islam is? No.

200 Posts And Counting!

We, at EDLReview, are very pleased with the progress we have made in exposing the English Defence League (EDL), its affiliates and the Islamophobia network. With more than 6000 pageviews and counting, this blog has shown great progress.

One of our articles has even been shared by the website LoonWatch (here).

We do not plan to stop publishing articles anytime soon and will continue our work.

The EDL London Division’s Targeting Exposed

The English Defence League (EDL)’s London Division states that it’s ‘argument’ is not against ‘normal muslim people’.

But yet it still targets Muslims by calling them ‘muzzies’ and openly discriminates their faith! Many EDL supporters seem to find it acceptable too.

Strangely, this Division also claims to obey the Facebook Codes of Conduct.

Shocking: Breivik Gets Thousands Of Fanmail

We’ve already documented a Brit racist with English Defence League (EDL) ties, who supported the actions of Norwegian mass murderer Anders Breivik (here). But it seems there are many more who support his actions across Europe.

Reportedly, Breivik receives thousands of letters a month from fans and fanatics, including those supposedly from the EDL. The Sunday Mirror revealed prison chiefs in Norway have had to assign five guards to handle the fanmail.

Without a doubt, this displays the dangerous influence of the far-right and that many are supporting the activities of a right-wing terrorist who killed more than 70 people. The EDL’s Jewish Defence League also seemed to sympathise too.

Sick.

Senior EDL Member Tells All About Breivik Links

The Daily Telegraph has published a well-written article highlighting the ‘links’ the Norway bomber, Anders Breivik, had with the English Defence League (EDL).

It can be revealed that a senior member of the EDL however, who spoke to the Daily Telegraph on condition of anonymity, said he understood Breivik had met EDL leaders when he came to Britain to hear anti-Islamic politician Geert Wilders speak in London last year. He also claimed Breivik spoke to him a few times.

Quote: “I remember he [Breivik] was on Facebook saying that he felt he had to come over. Maybe he thought it was the only chance he’d get to come to a big demo… He was obviously in contact with some of us.”

BNP/EDL-Supporting Brit Racist Supported Breivik

The Sun reported that a man with links to the English Defence League (EDL) was quizzed over his support for the Norway bomber, Anders Breivik, who slaughtered 77 innocent people.

On his Facebook account, the man posted up a picture of the bomber and said,
Quote: “Well done Anders Breivik. I take my hat off to you sir.”
In response to a user who asked how he could condone killing children, he said,
Quote: “They were Norwegian children being groomed for political brain washing. He done what he thought was right… “I am a racist to a certain extent. Of course it’s wrong to kill children, but if he had to do it that way to get his point across, so be it.”
The man said he has attended EDL events and had a BNP newsletter subscription.

EDL’s Wigan Division Racism Exposed

We are very surprised the English Defence League (EDL)’s Wigan Division Facebook Page hasn’t been removed yet.

Nearly six months ago, it posted up a racist comment discriminating against people of Black and Asian ethnicity’s.

British Freedom Party’s ‘Family’ Facebook Page

The British Freedom Party (BFP) is a close friend of the English Defence League (EDL), and as a political party wanting to grow, it’s trying hard to gain support. Its even trying to pass off its Facebook Page as a ‘family’ one.

But how ‘family-friendly’ is it?

...not that friendly then.

EDL Bradford Division Calls For Death Too

In previous articles (here, and here), we documented how some parts of the EDL have been calling for deaths, especially that of the Bradford MP George Galloway.

The EDL’s Bradford Division posted up a rather extreme picture.

This picture was also put up on the extremist ‘Knights Templar’ Twitter account, an account that the EDL leader Tommy Robinson has promoted.

We urge the police to investigate.

Study: Rightist Violence In Europe Comparable To Islamist Violence

A U.S. based researcher in a June 2012 paper for the Hague-based International Centre for Counter-Terrorism (ICCT), asserted that in the past two decades, rightist violence across Europe can be comparable to ‘Islamist’ bloodshed.

By the authors count (listed in the paper), at least 249 people have died in incidents of far-right violence in Europe, compared to 263 who have been killed by ‘Islamist’ violence since 1990.

The same paper asserts that both extremes may be ‘feeding’ eachother.

Study: Far-Right And Islamists ‘Feed’ Eachother?

A U.S. based researcher in a June 2012 paper for the Hague-based International Centre for Counter-Terrorism (ICCT), asserted that groups such as the English Defence League (EDL) and Islamists are perhaps ‘feeding’ eachother.

Photo: The ICCT

The paper notes,
Quote: ‘Terrorism studies scholars have also recently identified the danger of ‘cumulative extremism’ – the possibility that right-wing extremism and radical Islamism reinforce each other through a dynamic in which each one’s narrative encourages support in the opposing group, in a spiral of fear and mutual demonisation… The narratives of the EDL and radical Islamist groups therefore become mutually reinforcing.
It also notes,
Quote: ‘With the Breivik case and groups like the EDL, we see a trend of groups and individuals who have appropriated the official narrative of the ‘war on terror’ and chosen to open a domestic ‘front’ against fellow citizens.
This perhaps signifies the correlation between both sides of the extreme. The same paper asserts that rightist violence in Europe can be comparable to Islamist bloodshed committed in Europe too.

The EDL Were Wrong About Anders Breivik

After Anders Breivik, the Norway bomber, caused mass devastation in Oslo, far-right groups such as the English Defence League (EDL) were trying to distance themselves from him after claims were being made about links.

The EDL published an article, describing the terrorist incident as a case of ‘lone wolf terrorism’. Below is a snippet.

But as a recent event has showed us, the writer was wrong.

News around the world reported of a man from the Czech Republic who wanted to carry out a ‘copycat’ atrocity similar to the style of Breivik. Found at his flat was a remote-controlled detonator, about 400 ammunition rounds, police uniforms and masks. The man, who had five convictions, was charged with unlawful possession of weapons and endangering the public. Luckily, his plan was foiled.

As we can see, the EDL tried steering away from the issue of far-right extremism and terrorism, describing it as ‘lone wolf terrorism’. It wasn’t, and this further proves that the far-right Islamophobic influence is/can be, a threat to our society.

European police agency Europol stated the threat of violent right-wing extremism ‘has reached new levels in Europe and should not be underestimated.’ It also very strange that many far-right supporters have sympathetic views to using violence or conflict, as a report published by the thinktank Chatham House discovered.

Swedish Defence League: Nazism, Sick Jokes And Far-Right Links

The Swedish Defence League (SDL) is practically the cousin of the English Defence League (EDL) and they are both good affiliates.

The SDL leader (middle) with key EDL leaders including the leader (right)

Nazi links and ideologies

In 2008, the SDL’s leader, Isak Nygren, attempted to join the neo-Nazi Nordiska Förbundet but then joined another group instead. It is reported that along with other remarks, he posted on an online forum that he is against ‘race mixing’.

The Stockholm Division of the SDL see him as a visionary and posted a photo of him alongside Nazi Germany’s propagandist Joseph Goebbels, declaring that Nygren is the ‘reincarnation’ of a ‘great man’.

Richard Abrams is another leading member of the SDL who is known to hold extremist views. It is reported that on his website, he wrote,
Quote: ‘Me and some friends are fighting a struggle; RECLAIM THE SWASTIKA!’
Sick jokes

The SDL’s Stockholm Division posted a sick meme joke of Anders Breivik weeping, stating that the reason for his tears was that he ran out of bullets.

Links with other far-right groups and the Islamophobia network

The EDL and SDL both appeared side-by-side at the floppy ‘Counter-Jihad Initiative’ in Sweden (a targeting initiative in disguise), alongside other Defence Leagues.

We also saw familiar far-right faces at this event. This included fake Islamic scholar Robert Spencer who has been cited more than 50 times by the Norway bomber, and Pamela Geller, who received an extremist email on her website that remains uninvestigated.

EDL Leader Shows Support For Knights Templar?

With Norway bomber and far-right terrorist Anders Breivik who murdered more than 70 people in Norway just having been sentenced, it would be wise for the English Defence League (EDL) to distance themselves.

The EDL leader Tommy Robinson however, retweeted a status from an account that holds the name ‘Knights Templar’, the name of an extremist group that Anders Breivik was part of.

This account had a previous account that was banned because it posted up a picture of a United Kingdom flag with guns and ammo on top (glorifying violence?)

The admin advocates the burning of Qurans. It also supports the death of MP George Galloway, like the admin(s) of the EDL-affiliates South Yorkshire Infidels.

Note: Proof of cited behaviour is on the current profile.

EDL Gang Guilty Of Hurling Religious Abuse

Six men with links to the English Defence League (EDL) have been convicted of chanting a sickening torrent of religious abuse at Middlesbrough railway station on the 10th of December 2011.

All in the name of ‘humour’, it also openly makes jokes about Islam, Muslims and others too.

EDL Alan Lake’s Extremist Views

Alan Lake was a key strategist and funder of the English Defence League (EDL). Recently, he was sacked from his job. They may have found out about his extremist views.

Writing on his website, talking about Islamic and non-Islamic enclaves, he suggested that the ‘liberal twits’ David Cameron, Nick Clegg and the Archbishop of Canterbury should be sent into the ‘Islamic enclaves’, saying it would be ‘great to see them executed or tortured to death.’

He wrote,
Quote: “By forcing these liberal twits into these enclaves we will be sending them to their death, at worst, and at best they and their families will be subjected to all the deprecations, persecution and abuse that non-Muslim currently ‘enjoy’ in countries like Palestine, Iran and Egypt. It will be great to see them executed or tortured to death.
We don’t know about you, but we think this is very extreme.
